Rick Ross is a free man. After a week behind bars, the MMG mogul has been released from jail after posting $2 million bond.
He was arrested on June 24 and charged with kidnapping, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault.
The arrest stemmed from an incident involving a confrontation between Ross and a groundskeeper at his home, formerly owned by Evander Holyfield. He allegedly pistol-whipped the man with a Glock 9MM pistol, causing injury to his jaw, neck, and teeth.
A judge initially denied bail for Ross, real name William Roberts, but approved his lawyer’s request for a $2 million bond on Wednesday (01Jul15) – and the rap heavyweight was released after posting the hefty sum.
Ross also agreed to wear a 24-hour GPS tracker to monitor his location at all times.
