Hours after Meek Mill’s girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, defended herself against Taylor Swift on Twitter,
When Nicki took to Twitter on Tuesday to rant about her VMA snub for Video Of The Year, one particular comment from the rapper appeared to single out 25-year-old Taylor – whose hit Bad Blood scored a nomination in the category.
Among her many tweets blasting MTV, the 32-year-old said:
“If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year”
Taylor wasted no time in responding to the Starships hit-maker saying:
“I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot.”
However, Nicki was quick to deny that the tweet was aimed at Taylor, responding:
“Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn’t say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this.”
Taylor attempted to smooth things over by offering to share her moment in the spotlight if she scoops the gong in question but Minaj was having none of it.
Meek Mill started his own social media stir by calling out Drake on Tuesday night also.
Venting his pent-up frustration, Meek began:
“Stop comparing drake to me too…. He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”
Along with dissing Drake, Mill called out Safaree Samuels, an ex of Minaj, for twerking in a new video clip.
“This n—a SB was twerking mannnnnnnn….i always thought u was gay letting Ya girl do all that shit with n—as while yall where together! Lol,” Mill wrote.
The Philadelphia-born star went on to acknowledge that fellow rapper J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar were the real deal, tweeting:
“Kendrick and j cole really know how to rap even tho they in different lanes …. Dude is all the way outta of it lol.”
The Twitter rant eventually made its way to Rick Ross, who took time out of his busy schedule dealing with 50 Cent and allegedly pistol-whipping the help to weigh in, siding with Drizzy via Twitter (before deleting the tweet):
And Drake’s longtime nemesis Chris Brown decided to throw in his two cents as well on Instagram (since deleted):
It’s been a very busy day in the Mill/Minaj household, to say the least.
