Wap, who was born Willie Maxwell, has had a lot of success in the past year with three Top-10 songs, including the hit Trap Queen, which peaked at No2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
He was nicknamed Fetty (slang for money). The Wap part is a tribute to his favorite artist Gucci Mane.
Wap has glaucoma in both eyes. In 2015 he revealed he lost one of his eyes to the disease and now has a prosthetic left eye.
The Trap Queen singer’s black-and-white Suzuki bike was seen on the ground with a shattered front end and pieces of the exterior scattered about the road.
It is not known if he was wearing a helmet.
