Natalie Cole one of the great voices in decades has died.
Cole, who’s hits include “This Will Be” and “Unforgettable” which she performed as a virtual duet with dad Nat King Cole she got sick recently, cancelling several tour dates in late December.
The album “Unforgettable … With Love” spent five weeks at No. 1 on the pop charts, sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and won six Grammy Awards.
She also cancelled an upcoming February concert due to illness.
Natalie struggled with substance abuse and was plagued with health problems, suffering from liver disease in 2008.
In 2009, she received a kidney from an anonymous donor after hepatitis C forced her into dialysis.
Cole became a spokesperson for the University Kidney Research Organization, a group dedicated to eradicating kidney disease.
She ended up getting a transplant.
She also contracted Hepatitis C, for which she underwent chemo.

She appeared in June 2014 at the Apollo Theater’s 80th birthday celebration.
