Tragic news of beloved comedian Garry Shandling’s death broke yesterday, and now new information has surfaced regarding his condition in the days prior.
According to reports, Garry was not feeling well the night before his passing and had plans to go to the ER Thursday afternoon [March 24].
Garry complained he was achy and short of breath.
He did not complain of chest pains.
The doctor told Garry if he was not feeling well the next day he should go to the ER to check it out.
Garry said if he wasn’t feeling better he’d probably go sometime Thursday afternoon.
When the doctor called Thursday, Garry said he was still experiencing discomfort and shortness of breath.
Our sources say the doctor told Garry to immediately go to the ER.
A doctor/friend called Garry at 10 AM Thursday a half-hour before the heart attack to check up on him.
As we reported, the doctor went to Garry’s house the day before after the comedian complained of shortness of breath and achiness.
Garry called 911 at around 10:30 AM and fell unconscious during the call Paramedics responded, broke his door down and found him unresponsive.
We’re told he had a weak pulse at the house.
He was pronounced dead at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica.
Garry died from a massive heart attack.
