Rapper Lil Wayne was reportedly taken to a hospital in Nebraska after suffering two seizures on Monday.
The first seizure occurred in the middle of a cross-country flight from Milwaukee to California, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing in Omaha.
The rapper initially refused medical attention and re-boarded his private jet, but suffered another seizure just minutes after taking off, which led to another emergency landing.
An ambulance responded to the scene and checked out Wayne,
Wayne was transported to a hospital after the second landing.
The rapper was reportedly on his way from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to California at the time and had blacked out upon the plane’s landing.
The 33-year-old GRAMMY winner has described himself as having epilepsy and spent six days at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in 2013 after suffering a seizure in his sleep.
Wayne has been involved in a protracted legal battle with Cash Money the label that signed him as a teenager and has been his only recording home through his career since December 2014, claiming CM and CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams are halting the release of his long-delayed album Tha Carter V.
While it had seemed that the two appeared to reconcile of late, settlement negotiations were called off without warning last month.
There was no immediate comment from authorities or Wayne’s representative.
