Rapper Kid Cali, Formerly Of Desean Jackson’s ‘Jaccpot Records’, Shot & Killed In California

Kid Cali, a popular rapper who was once signed to NFL star Desean Jackson’s Hip-Hop label Jaccpot Records, was gunned down after leaving a pool party in a pricey area of Los Angeles.

Kid Cali was at a party held by Kid Red in the Granada Hills section of the city yesterday (August 20), when the gunshots rang out.

According to reports, Kid Cali was shot six times and two other associates were also hit, but they are expected to make a full recovery.

The rapper was rushed to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds.

“RIP My ni##a dawg. Straight genuine always smiling & just enjoying life,”

Kid Red posted on his Instagram.

“We just got thru talking about how we was gone shoot this video & go up smh.”

Many people, including Desean Jackson, Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg and T.I. took to social media to express their condolences.

“Regardless of our Misunderstandings you was still a good homie and brother I jus can’t believe it had to be you so soon,”

Although it appears the two had a falling out, Jackson posted the following on Instagram after the news of Lishey’s death:

“I’m Lost 4 words .. In this Life we Live

This the hardest part of it & for some reason this the way it has to end I hate it even had to be you bro I just talked to you less then a week ago and told you how crazy it’s been in the city and to stay out the way and u told me you need a get away from all that madness I can’t believe this is your get away Brody ..

Regardless of our Misunderstandings you was still a good homie and brother I jus can’t believe it had to be you so soon .

You really a good friend , dad , cousin , brother , uncle , and genuine dude I can go all day and saying why this shouldn’t happen to you but gods plan was different”
