Martin Shkreli took to Periscope to announce that he’d just bought “the most exclusive”, “most sought after” rap album: Lil Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter V.

According to TMZ, Lil Wayne’s camp says the album Shkreli played is legit, and they added that the rapper is conducting an investigation to determine who leaked the album to Shkreli.

Earlier this year, Birdman revealed that he’s never been in possession of Wayne’s unreleased album.

The “Lollipop” rapper claims that he will release “The Carter V” when he gets over $10 million he feels he’s owed from Cash Money.

News first broke earlier yesterday when Shkreli took to Periscope to reveal he had purchased Tune’s LP.

Shkreli is of course the person who bought the million dollar Wu Tang Clan album, last year.

After Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election, Martin Shkreli kept his promise and released Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album he purchased for millions.

“Am I about to buy another legendary rap album no one has? Yes, why yes, I am,”

he tweeted.

“My new rap purchase, which may go through today, makes the Wu Tang purchase look like peanuts.”

Lil Wayne Seems to Have No Clue How Martin Shkreli Got ‘Tha Carter V’ Album Shkreli did not reveal who he got the album from, or how much money he had to pay to get it.

When asked whether he plans to ever release the album to the public, Shkreli gave no direct answer, only saying that if he did, Birdman would not be pleased.

If he did in fact get his hands on the real McCoy, it was probably an arm and a leg more than a pretty penny.
