Houston rapper Paul Wall and fellow rapper Baby Bash were arrested in a drug raid Friday, while they were preparing for a holiday toy drive.
According to Harris County District Clerk records, Paul Michael Slayton and Ronald Ray Bryant were both charged with manufacturing/ delivering a controlled substance between 4 – 400 grams.
Eight others were also arrested in the drug bust. At press time,Those were Alfred Diller, 26, Homer Villarreal, Jr., 32, Paige Cooper, 24, Thomas Wissing, 25, John Sanchez, 50, Luis Amaya, 23 and Dolegario Ramirez, 21.
It isn’t the first time the 35-year-old rapper and Baby Bash whose real name is Ronnie Rey Bryant have been arrested for drugs.
According to The Houston Chronicle, bail for each was set at $20,000.
Paul Wall and Baby Bash later bonded out of jail.
Jewelry and grill designer Johnny Dang is a business partner of Paul Wall.
They opened a new multi-million dollar jewelry store newsroom in the Galleria-area in October.
Dang said Paul Wall has no reason to be involved in the drug trade because he’s a successful rapper and businessman.

Arnaecia Alridge, Paul Wall’s publicist, said the charges will be withdrawn.
“These are all simply misconceptions and we are confident that after the case is fully investigated, he will be exonerated.

Aldridge said in a statement.
His attorney, Jolanda Jones, released the following statement:
“Mr. Paul Slayton, aka Paul Wall, is innocent until proven guilty.

We are confident that after a thorough investigation of these allegations Mr. Slayton will be proven not guilty.
I will fight vigorously to defend my client.”
Bash jumped on social media Friday (December 23) to downplay the headline-generating arrest.
“Got caught up with a lil weed yall..no biggie,”
